HIJAAB? LICENSE FOR HARAAM ALLAH TA’ALA COMMANDING Muslim women, states in the Qur’aan Shareef: "And, remain inside your homes, and do not make an exhibition (of yourselves) such as the displays of Jahiliyyah (the pre-Islam days of ignorance and immorality of the pagan Arabs)." The first and foremost requirement of Hijaab (Purdah) is the Waajib requirement of remaining indoors. Emergence from the home for women when not occasioned by a true need allowed by the Shariah, is flagrant violation of the Qur’aan’s prohibition, as well as of many Ahaadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). When there is a valid reason, the Shariah allows women to emerge from their homes fully covered, with their normal, flowing Islamic dresses concealed by means of unattractive outer-cloaks (jilbaabs /burqahs).

THEY ARE NOT TO BE BLAMED "Do not follow in the footsteps of shaitaan, for verily, he is your avowed enemy." (Qur’aan) THE QUR’AAN AND Ahaadith repeatedly warn us to be on guard against Shaitaan, our declared enemy. On the occasion when Iblees was cursed by Allah Ta’ala and expelled from the heaven, he rebelliously and derisively said: "What! Is this the one (i.e. Aadam) whom you have honoured above me. If You grant me respite until the Day of Qiyaamah, I shall most certainly overwhelm his progeny except a few." (Surah Al-Israa, aayat 62). Ejecting shaitaan, Allah Ta’ala responded: "Ensnare and destroy of them whomever you are able to gain control over with your voice (i.e. with music and singing), and attack them with your cavalry and infantry, and become a partner with them in their wealth and children, and make promises to them. And, Shaitaan does not promise them anything but deception." (Surah Israa, Aayat 64) From these verses of the Qur’aan, the following facts emerge with clarity: (1) Shaitaan is our open enemy. We have been warned in no mistaken terms. (2) Allah Ta’ala, in His Wisdom, has allowed Shaitaan the power and ability of proceeding with his tasks and duties of ensnaring and destroying mankind. Shaitaan has a job to execute. The Mu’mineen have been alerted by Allah Ta’ala to be on guard against this heavily fortified and armed enemy. The Qur’aan repeatedly warns us of the traps of Iblees and clarifies that those who allow themselves to fall into Shaitaan’s conspiracies and traps are blameworthy and will be punished by Allah Ta’ala. The Qur’aan does not apportion blame to Shaitaan and his myriad of agents for the moral, spiritual and worldly destruction we embrace by following in the footsteps of Shaitaan. When the Mu’min follows in the footsteps of Shaitaan in flagrant violation of Allah’s warning and prohibition, then suffers hardships, calamities and humiliation in consequence, he should blame himself. He has absolutely no right to blame Shaitaan, Mr. Bush, Mr. Blair and the other kuffaar whose natural duty is to aid and abet Shaitaan in the plots against Islam.

The Unchangeable Divine Sunnah — Destruction of the Super Powers "Perhaps your Rabb will destroy your enemies and grant you political sovereignty in the earth." (Qur’aan) UNDOUBTEDLY, the pain and anguish—the disgrace and humiliation which the Ummah is suffering under the oppressive yoke of the so-called superpowers, are the materialization of the sacred predictions made by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). These predictions have to necessarily materialize, and we are today the witnesses of this divine enactment. Allah’s Decree cannot be thwarted. ‘MUCK’ More than fourteen centuries ago, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had declared that the time will dawn when this Ummat of Islam will become Ghuthaaus Sail or the flotsam, more appropriately the muck which comes down with floodwaters. It will be spiritually and intellectually salutary for Muslims to understand that the ‘muck’ we have been transformed into is of the making of our own hands. It is not the consequence of Rasulullah’s prediction. In this regard is regard the Qur’aan Majeed says: "Fasaad (anarchy/strife/mischief) has become rampant on earth and in the ocean on account of the misdeeds which the hands of men have wrought…….." CONSEQUENCE According to the Qur’aan and Hadith, the ‘muck’ is the consequence of abandonment of Islam. While Muslims are professing to be the followers of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), almost their every action, statement and thought are in diametric contradiction of the Uswah-e-Hasanah (The Beautiful Sunnah Pattern of Life) which Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) brought from Allah Azza Wa Jal for the everlasting benefit, goodness and success of mankind, but which system of life the Ummah has rejected in entirety in practice. "And you will not find for the Way of Allah a change." -Qur’aan

OUT TO CONQUER THE HEARTS MISERABLY DEFEATED on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S.A. has opened up another front—another dimension—in its desperate bid to impose its hegemony on the world of Islam. The conspiracy now is to conquer the hearts and minds of Muslims with dollars. Towards this end a vast propaganda machine of the U.S.A. is in operation in the lands of Islam. ZINDEEQS The agents of America operating the propaganda machinery in Muslim lands are the zindeeqs and munaafiqeen (heretics and hypocrites) masquerading as Muslims. They are primarily the western-educated juhala who believe themselves to be the ‘intelligentsia’. In dozens of countries America is quietly funding Muslim schools, political workshops, so-called Islamic radios, ‘Islamic’ TV stations, MPL and similar products, renovation of Mosques, building ‘Islamic’ schools, forming and funding ’Muslim’ think tanks, etc. In 2002, Paul Wolfowitz declared: "This is a battle of ideas and a battle of minds." A year later, in 2003, Condoleeza Rice concurring, said: "To win the war on terror, we must win a war of ideas."

YOUR HALAAL-HARAAM GUIDE HALAAL AND HARAAM issues constitute a vital part of Imaan and of the Muslim’s moral character. It is imperative for advance and progress in the spiritual domain to know and act according to the demands of halaal and haraam. These are issues which should affect every Muslim. Indulgence in haraam and mushtabah (doubtful) severely corrodes and corrupts the Rooh. HALAAL FOOD Nowadays, the term ’halaal’ is of topical import. It is a word which is greatly misused and misdirected for pecuniary motives. It is no longer discussed in relation to its Shar’i concept. Its importance nowadays is confined to two avenues: (1) Advertising and promoting the sales of non-Muslim business-houses. (2) Filling the coffers and pockets of self-styled ‘halaal authorities’. There is no other dimension of halaal known to the masses in general and to unscrupulous molvis, sheikhs and imaams. Halaal is no longer understood in the context of Taqwa because the term Taqwa itself has become a detestable concept to the molvis and sheikhs of the dunya and to the purveyors of the scrap papers dubbed ‘halaal certificates’.
