The Unchangeable Divine Sunnah — Destruction of the Super Powers

"Perhaps your Rabb will destroy your enemies and grant you political sovereignty in the earth." (Qur’aan)

UNDOUBTEDLY, the pain and anguish—the disgrace and humiliation which the Ummah is suffering under the oppressive yoke of the so-called superpowers, are the materialization of the sacred predictions made by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). These predictions have to necessarily materialize, and we are today the witnesses of this divine enactment. Allah’s Decree cannot be thwarted.

More than fourteen centuries ago, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had declared that the time will dawn when this Ummat of Islam will become Ghuthaaus Sail or the flotsam, more appropriately the muck which comes down with floodwaters.

It will be spiritually and intellectually salutary for Muslims to understand that the ‘muck’ we have been transformed into is of the making of our own hands. It is not the consequence of Rasulullah’s prediction. In this regard is regard the Qur’aan Majeed says:

According to the Qur’aan and Hadith, the ‘muck’ is the consequence of abandonment of Islam. While Muslims are professing to be the followers of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), almost their every action, statement and thought are in diametric contradiction of the Uswah-e-Hasanah (The Beautiful Sunnah Pattern of Life) which Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) brought from Allah Azza Wa Jal for the everlasting benefit, goodness and success of mankind, but which system of life the Ummah has rejected in entirety in practice.

"And you will not find for the Way of Allah a change." -Qur’aan

‘OUR SERVANTS’

This is a truth of absolute certitude which is uncontestable. The Qur’aan Majeed making this explicit declaration with emphasis, states:

"And, when the first of the two Decrees came, We sent against you (O Muslims!) servants unto us who were most powerful in warfare. Then they penetrated (your) homes (to utterly humiliate you). And that was a decreed promise (of your Rabb)." (Bani Israaeel, aayat 5)

"Then when the second Decree came, (it so came) in order to enable them to disfigure your faces and so that they (the kuffaar servants of Allah) may enter the Musjid (i.e. Musjid Aqsa) just as they had entered (and destroyed) it the first time, and to enable them (the kuffaar) to destroy whatever they overran." (Bani Israaeel, aayat 7)

The Qur ’aanic designation, "servants unto Us" is a direct reference to the kuffaar whom Allah Ta’ala had despatched to reduce the Muslim Ummat of the time into slavery and humiliation.

The significance of this designation should not be overlooked. The meaning is conspicuously clear. Allah Ta’ala employs any o­ne of His limitless forces to execute any of His decrees .

"And, unto Allah belongs all the armies of the heavens and the earth. And, Allah is The Knower, The Wise." - Qur’aan

All forces in creation are His armies and slaves. The kuffaar whom He sends to punish and humiliate Muslims are a manifestation of His eternal attribute of Ghadab (Wrath) in exactly the same way as hurricanes, floods, pestilences and earthquakes are among His forces of destruction.

The Qur’aan Majeed tells us that we shall not "find for Allah’s Sunnah (Way and Decree) a change." The wisdom underlying the uniformity in the methods of Divine Acquittal is to serve as admonition (Naseehat) for mankind. It serves to convey to us that the same fate of ruin, disgrace and destruction which He had inflicted o­n the rebellious transgressors of bygone times is valid today and valid tomorrow. Whoever shall tread the path of flagrant transgression and immorality, will suffer the same fate of humiliation and be transformed into ’muck’ by Allah’s Decree.

It is palpably discernable that the Muslim Ummah has not acquired the necessary lessons from the fate which Ummats of bygone times have suffered.

The Ummat’s decline which has been a putrescent process spanning some centuries, has culminated in its present fate of abject humiliation under the yoke of American domination. Muslims today have fallen to the very lowest ebb of degradation in every field of life to constitute the ‘muck’ spoken of by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

"Thus, We apprehended every (community) o­n account of its sins." – Qur’aan

Nabi-e-Kareem (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has further stated without any ambiguity that Allah’s punishment which will reduce us to ‘muck’ will be the direct consequence of our abandonment of the Deen. And, furthermore, our humiliation and disfigurement will be at the impure hands of his impure ‘servants’ the kuffaar whom He will despatch against us to penetrate our homes, defile our Musaajid, dishonour our womenfolk, brutalize our children, disfigure our faces, sully our honour and commit every atrocity which the mind of a decent person cannot imagine nor attribute to created beings belonging to the human species.

When commanding righteousness and forbidding evil are abandoned, Allah will appoint cruel oppressors over you. They will neither show respect to your elders nor mercy to your little o­nes. – Hadith

Such atrocities and brutal acts of torture are meticulously orchestrated, perpetrated and executed by the U.S.A. in Iraq, Afghanistan and in the brutal torture cells of its lackeys such as Egypt, Syria, Libya and Uzbekistan where just any suspect taken clandestinely from the streets is bundled off in planes hired by the American C.I.A., to suffer horrendous acts of torture.

Can the human mind accept that a species of mankind will stoop to a level for which there is no description in the dictionaries of any language stoop to commit unbelievable horrors such as:

These are merely some of the methods of horror which even primitive savages and barbarians could not have imagined of, but which are the salient trademarks of those who vociferously proclaim the slogan of ’human rights’ and ’democracy’ all smokescreens to conceal the traits of unspeakable bestiality congealed in their hearts.

Undoubtedly, the truth is unpalatable at times. Ignoramuses and those deficient in Imaan are not even prepared to understand and accept the truth stated by Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool. This truth is that the cause of our downfall is pin-pointed by Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

The cause of our degradation, fall and humiliation is not lack of technological progress or a dearth of other material, military and mundane means and methods. The worldly progress of the kuffaar in the spheres of materialism has been decreed by Allah Ta’ala. Their progress in this world is commensurate with their effort in this direction.

The cause of you (Muslims) becoming the muck of floodwaters is love of the world and fear for death. – Hadith

On the contrary, the fall and disgrace of Muslims are the products of disobedience and transgression which have culminated in total and abject emulation and aping the ways of the kuffaar especially the American kuffaar. This total emulation and aping the ways of kufr have transformed this o­nce glittering Ummah into the ’muck’ that it is presently.

While the West fully understands that the Muslim Nation of the world is ’muck’, we have failed to even grasp this reality stated by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) some fourteen centuries ago. It is precisely for this reason that Muslims believe that their inability to stand up honourably against the kuffaar in the way our predecessors had demonstrated, is the consequence of technological backwardness.

In addition to this notion being a colossal misconception, it is a figment of the imagination of those who have jettisoned the Deen out of their lives. There is no lack of western secular education and technology in the Muslim lands. In fact, it is Arab oil wealth and the raw mineral and agricultural products of the ‘third world’ countries which sustain the economies of the fictitious superpowers.

But the Muslim is of a different breed. The worldly progress of the kuffaar can co-exist with even atheism, disbelief, corruption and evil in general. o­n the other hand, these evil deeds sap the spiritual and moral fibre of the Muslim and leads to his ultimate demise and disgrace.

Divine Wisdom is unfathomable to the finite mind of man. It is of the Sunnah of Allah Ta’ala Who ushers His kuffaar servants to humiliate and punish Muslims, to ultimately destroy these ’servants’ who are in actual fact His enemies. The Divine System since time immemorial has been to bring about the destruction of the superpowers and empires of every era at the hands of the very ’muck’ which had been trampled mercilessly and brutally under the boots of their chastisers.

"And the oppressors were banished into oblivion." - Qur’aan

Fir’oun who had claimed to be god and who had perpetrated brutalities similar to the superpower of our age, was ignominiously destroyed by Allah Ta’ala, and Bani Israaeel

became the rulers of the lands. Allah Ta’ala bestowed sovereignty and political domination to them after an age of suffering which had thoroughly cleansed and purified them of the stench of their disobedience.

Another good example which the world in this age had observed is Afghanistan. This impoverished land lacking in entirety in technology and modern amenities this land of mountainous tribesmen brought the Soviet superpower to its knees.

"Many were the tiny bands (of Mujahideen) who vanquished great armies with the permission of Allah." - Qur’aan

The Soviet Union, notwithstanding its mighty military machine, crumbled in consequences of the resolute stand of the ‘muck’.

In this Divine System of punishment and destruction punishment for the Believers o­n account of their wilful transgression, and destruction of the kuffaar ‘servants’ sent to execute the punishment Allah Ta’ala had decreed the demise of the Soviet superpower’s empire at the hands of the very ‘muck’ whose punishment was decreed at the hands of the Soviet paper superpower.

In our age, so soon after the destruction of the Soviet superpower, it appears that the stage is being divinely prepared for the demise of the U.S. paper superpower. The ‘muck’ of Afghanistan had executed the job of destruction of the Soviet superpower by the Command of Allah Ta’ala. Today the job of destroying the American superpower has been entrusted to the ’muck’ of Iraq.

There is no gainsaying that Allah Ta’ala is severely punishing Muslims in general, and the Iraqi Muslims in particular at this point in time. The horrendous acts of brutality which the American superpower is perpetrating is truly a punishment for the wanton abandonment of Islam by those who profess to be the followers of Muhammadur Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

The fact that inspite of the ’muck’ that this Ummah is, Allah Ta’ala has bestowed such ferocious fighting ability to the Iraqi segment of this ’muck’, is ample testification for Allah’s mercy o­n us downfallen and degraded Muslims. The world looks o­n with awe and wonder at the ability and resilience of the Iraqi resistance fighters the Mujaahideen and the conspicuous impotency of the superpower which has the most formidable military machine in the world and boasts of being the greatest ever military the world has ever seen.

"Verily, Allah loves those who fight in His Path in battle array as if they are a solid wall of iron." - Qur’aan

But when we see that this "greatest" military of the world’s top nuclear superpower along with the active support of its coalition has failed after three years of fighting to secure even o­ne main road leading from Baghdad airport to the city, then we must be excused for labeling the U.S. a paper superpower.

Inspite of the massive blackout o­n news and information of the warfront imposed by the U.S. authorities, the very enormity of the reverses which America is suffering in both men and military hardware all over Iraq, has not allowed the lid to be held down securely. Information of the planeloads of bodies being ferried out of Iraq, of the huge losses of military equipment and of the thousands of injured American soldiers being treated in Germany and elsewhere, and of the total anarchy prevalent in Iraq cannot be suppressed.

"They with their coalition (of forces) cannot fight you (O Mu’mineen!) except from within fortified barracks or from behind walls." [Such as the Green zone and the Wall of Israaeel.] - Qur’aan

Plane loads of dead American bodies are secretly flown to military airfields from whence they are silently and unobtrusively distributed to their respective destinations.

When the Mujaahideen, inspite of the severe disadvantages under which they operate, are able to carry out 200 attacks daily against the enemy with impunity the U.S. has conceded 50 attacks a day then it is not at all surprising to question the superpower status of America. In fact, there is no superpower today. The paper superpower has landed in hell o­n earth, and its paper is burning in the conflagration ignited by Allah’s Command.

"… Their hearts are in disarray. That is because they are a nation lacking in intelligence." - Qur’aan

While the Iraqi Muslims are being punished by Allah Ta’ala for their sins and disobedience, Allah Ta’ala, it appears,  has chosen them to dismantle the fictitious paper superpower.

The Sunnah of Allah Azza Wa Jal cannot be thwarted. What we are witnessing in Iraq, is merely an episode in the Divine Scheme. The Qur’aan Majeed says: "They plot, and Allah plots. And, Allah is the best of plotters."

NO-GO

The whole of Iraq has become a nogo zone for the American military and its Iraqi collaborators. The entire Iraqi atmosphere reeks of death. Clouds of death and impending death perpetually hang over the land while the U.S. military has glaringly displayed its impotency in its attempts to neutralize the Iraqi fighters.

While the world knows and sees what is transpiring in Iraq while the world is fully aware of the plight of the American military while the world looks o­n aghast at the anarchy and blazing fire raging across Iraq, Mr. Bush issues statements which makes him look ludicrous and downright stupid. While his military concedes severe reverses, Mr. Bush makes a laughing stock of himself with statements calculated to deceive the American public.

He claims that his military is ‘winning’ the backbone of the resistance is ‘broken’, etc., etc. Yet his military has not gained control of the road leading from Baghdad’s airport to the city, and the number of attacks are daily increasing!

The lesson for the Ummah is: If a small nation of Muslims, inspite of having become ‘muck’ is able to take o­n the world’s superpower and hold itself admirably against the superpower’s military might for three years, what glory can this Ummah not achieve if it o­nce again becomes spiritually and morally vibrant?

This moral and spiritual fibre so imperative for the rise and success of the Ummah can be acquired o­nly by following  our illustrious, orthodox, old-fashioned predecessors who had raised the Flag of Islam o­n the hilltops of the world. It cannot be achieved by following the kuffaar into the "lizard’s hole."
