EATING WHERE THEY WINE AND DINE

RASULULLAH (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that it is not lawful for o­ne who believes in Allah and in the Last Day to even sit in a place where liquor is being served. Eating at such a venue is unthinkable for o­ne who has Imaan.

In our age, Muslim inhibition to haraam food and even liquor served in proximity to the place where they dine, has evaporated. Many Muslims nowadays have no qualms about eating at non-Muslim restaurants even if liquor and swine flesh are served.

In flagrant violation of the Shariah’s prohibition and Rasulullah’s severe warning, Muslims no longer have any hesitation to eat at such places. Haraam meat and liquor are served at the adjacent tables while these vile Muslims patronize these dens of shaitaan.



HALAAL CERTIFICATES

The evil system of ‘halaal’ certificates has gone a long way in neutralizing Muslim resistance to haraam. The confounded ‘halaal’ certificates issued by confounded Muslim organizations to kuffaar business-houses, have succeeded in drawing Muslims out of their homes where they were consuming o­nly halaal food, and bringing them to the kuffaar restaurants to devour the carrion served at such places even alongside liquor and pork.

Gradually Muslims eating at these restaurants became thoroughly desensitised to the evil occurring around them. The haraam liquor, haraam music, haraam female staff, etc. all became accepted normal practice and ‘halaal’.

THE ULAMA

The Ulama have played the most dastardly role in bringing Muslims down to this degenerate level where they no longer care about halaal and haraam. If pork is served it is also acceptable as long as the establishment displays a haraam ‘halaal’ certificate to cover its non-pork meat products. Warning such Ulama, the Qur’aan Majeed states:

"Why do their Ulama and Mashaaikh not forbid them fromtheir false statements and from them devouring haraam?"

Ulterior, worldly and nafsaani motives constrain these Ulama to condone the evil ‘halaal’ certificate trade which is o­ne of the prime causes for the corruption and weakening of the Imaan of Muslims and the destruction of their morals.

CONSPIRACY

Shaitaan had decades ago succeeded in ensnaring the Ulama into his trap which was a conspiracy with a long term goal. This goal was the ultimate total immortalisation of the Muslim community. The snare which he had spun belongs to the category of traps called Talbeesul Iblees or the Deception of Iblees. The Devil-in-Chief, (Iblees La-een) in plots of this nature, approaches the Ulama donning garments of piety and displaying concern for the Ummah. The arguments he presents are adorned with a flavour of altruism and the bait of service to the community. Short-sighted Ulama lacking in firaasat (Noor of Intelligence) allowed themselves to fall into the entanglement of Shaitaan’s tentacles.

‘HALAAL’ CERTIFICATES

The satanic conspiracy of the erosion of the community’s morals was initiated with the practice of ‘halaal’ certificates. Hitherto, i.e. prior to the curse of these confounded scraps of paper, even Muslims of low moral character consuming liquor, had a strong natural aversion for haraam meat or any food which contained haraam ingredients.

The commercial practice of selling ‘halaal’ certificates, has its roots in the Western Cape. For monetary gain and other worldly aims, ‘halaal’ certificates degenerated into a lucrative business. These haraam pieces of paper were issued to render halaal the meat products of non-Muslim business establishments. Muslims were encouraged by their flock-leaders who were invariably men of the dunya—ulamae-soo’—to purchase a variety of meat products directly from the kuffaar. The forerunners of this satanic trade was the Muslim Judicial Council whose chief ‘service’ to its community is the mass production of haraam ‘halaal’ certificates.

Soon the Jamiatul Ulama of Natal, then of the then Transvaal, and now of Gauteng, followed in the footsteps of the MJC. There was and still is mutual rivalry and viewing with o­ne another in the pursuit to capture a slice of this abominable market in which the Imaan of the Ummah was being compromised, and the Akhlaaq (morals) of the community utterly destroyed. This was the natural and logical consequence of making Muslims accustomed to devour carrion —the haraam meat products of the kuffaar marketed under a rubber stamp or packet label making

the ludicrous proclamation of ‘halaal’.

TUSSLE

There developed a disgusting tussle between the haraam ‘halaal authorities’—and this tussle is heating up presently. The o­ne ‘halaal authority’ would undercut its competitor in the field by offering substantially lower prices for its ‘halaal’ certificates and even relaxing the so-called stringent conditions set by the other ‘halaal authority’. High royalties (Ribaa) demanded by a ‘halaal authority’ were either undercut or waived by the adversary in the field in the inordinate craving to gain the patronage of the kuffaar business establishment.

RIVALRY

The non-Muslim business enterprises logically and justifiably sought to gain maximum advantage from the mutual rivalry of the ‘halaal authorities’. Since a pirate ‘halaal’ certificate was available at a substantially lesser price with

its accompaniment of the relaxation of stringent conditions, the company would give the other ‘halaal authority’ the boot, chucking out its certificate to replace it with the ‘pirate’ o­ne which looked very ‘genuine’, and which allowed for the marketing of any amount of carrion under the ‘halaal’ label.

EROSION

Gradually, but most assuredly, Muslim resistance and inhibition to purchasing meat products from non-Muslims were subjected to erosion until it finally reached the degenerate level prevailing today. Now, Muslims have absolutely no qualms about buying meat products from any non-Muslim establishment regardless of whose scrap ‘halaal’ certificate the firm possessed and displayed.

Today, there exists a whole gang of ‘halaal authorities’, employing a variety of tactics and tricks to gain the best share of the market which flourishes with the patronage of Shaitaan to prostitute the Imaan and Akhlaaq of the Muslim community.

STREET-EATING

Once Shaitaan had won the first round in his assault, viz., thoroughly acclimatizing Muslims to consumption of haraam carrion, he set in motion the next phase of the destruction of Muslim morals. Kuffaar restaurants, and franchise-holders specializing in haraam pies and chickens, were issued with these haraam certificates to lure Muslims to buy cooked meat products, prepared by non-Muslim hands. Fried chicken, pies and other products of carrion were bought and taken home for devouring by the family.

In view of the already crumbled Muslim resistance to haraam meat, purchasing cooked meat products from non-Muslims was a logical follow-up of years of buying haraam meat from non-Muslims.

Thereafter, the third phase of the satanic plot was put into action. Since these carrion-selling non-Muslim establishments displayed haraam certificates, Muslim families began taking to the streets in droves to eat out. The pure, holy and cultural practice since time immemorial of the family eating in the sanctuary of the home gave way to street-eating. Now, weekends are times for visiting these restaurants to eat in kuffaar style.

Muslim females sit at tables alongside males. Hijaab has become extinct. Total immoral mingling of sexes take place. They devour their carrion with relish while listening to the haraam music being played. Islamic culture is abolished in these haraam mal-oon (accursed) outings.

LIQUOR

Having accomplished the difficult task of thoroughly desensitizing Muslims, acclimatizing them to haraam foods, and ruining their morals with the haraam food and immoral mingling of sexes and haraam music, the fourth phase of the shaitaan’s assault is now in progress. Muslims are now dining in places where even liquor and pork are being served. A concerned Muslim brother writes:

"The Muslim community is eating at the famous Mug and Bean restaurant. This restaurant serves liquor to the public, but it seems that Muslims are not bothered and continue to patronize this restaurant."

WHO IS TO BLAME?

This extremely low ebb of moral degeneration which the community has reached was initiated by the Ulama, given impetus by the Ulama and perpetuated by the Ulama—those ulama whom the Shariah brands ulama-e-soo’—the evil ulama. In this nefarious path adopted by these leaders of misguidance, the ulama are emulating the misguided ulama of the Yahood and Nasaara. The blame for the rot and degeneration of the Muslim community descends squarely o­n the shoulders of the ulama who have miserably and scandalously betrayed Allah, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Muslim community.

HARAAM FOOD

The Qur’aan commands:

"O mankind! Eat from the earth what is halaal and tayyib and do not follow in the footsteps of shaitaan. Verily, he is unto you an open enemy. He o­nly commands you with evil and immorality, and that you speak about Allah what you do not know." (Baqarah, aayat 168)

Stating the vital relationship between halaal food and virtuous deeds, the Qur’aan says:

"O Rusul (Messengers)! Eat tayyibaat (halaal and wholesome food), and practice righteous deeds."

Piety, Deeni understanding and adequate spiritual power to resist evil and the inordinate demands of the nafs can never be achieved when the human body is nourished with haraam and mushtabah food.

In league with Shaitaan, the ulama-e-soo’ have accomplished his mission of ruining the morals of Muslims with haraam food. Thus, Muslims are following in the footsteps of shaitaan. Halaal and Tayyib are incomprehensible concepts to Muslims of this day.
